David Timlin – Chief Executive Officer. David Timlin, a 20-year wireless retail industry veteran, joined Yakety Yak to head our training and sales department and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in recognition of his exceptional leadership. His previous experience includes Director of Sales for Go Wireless, Manager for The Good Guys WOW, Consultant for Bullet Distribution, Marketing Director and Senior Regional Manager for Al & Ed’s Autosound, and District Sales Manager for MobilWorks.

Dave has a strong background in implementing and executing business and sales plans, negotiating carrier and master dealer contracts, making equipment purchases, staffing and recruitment, marketing, public relations, advertising and training, as well as expertise in real estate location, negotiation and acquisition to achieve maximum store ROI. Dave’s promotion demonstrates the company’s commitment to maintaining leadership in the wireless retail market.

Jared Turner – Co-Founder. Jared has always enjoyed working, especially as an entrepreneur. He had his own paper route at age 11, sold Birkenstocks out of the trunk of his car with his college buddy and co-founder Jimmy Kindred, and started his first company, “The Bug Boys” pest control service while in college. After serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Venezuela, Jared earned his bachelor’s degree, with a major in international relations and a minor in business, from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Although he planned to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a dentist, when the opportunity to start Yakety Yak Wireless presented itself, Jared followed his entrepreneurial instincts instead, helping to build one of the fastest-growing wireless retail chains in the U.S. His track record of success also includes serving as Co-founder and COO of Dyad Security, Inc., a provider of high-end network security solutions for Fortune 500 companies, which was eventually sold for a substantial shareholder profit to the Swedish-based company Outpost 24. Prior to Dyad Security, Jared founded and helped grow Nativehorse, Inc., an infomercial-based company that sold a unique wireless telephone product, and also served as the Terminix International Regional Sales Manager for the Hawaiian Islands.

Jimmy Kindred – Co-founder. Jimmy was born to be an entrepreneur. Starting with a snow cone stand in Arizona as a youngster, to selling Birkenstocks out of the back of his truck with his college buddy and Co-founder Jared Turner during his college days in Utah, he has always been quick to recognize and capitalize on market opportunities. He has been a driving force in the direction of the company since its inception, and has served in almost every possible position at Yakety Yak. Jimmy served his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Venezuela, and then earned his bachelor’s degree with a major in international relations and a minor in business at Brigham Young University in Provo. Prior to founding Yakety Yak, Jimmy was a top-performing sales and marketing executive in the insurance, mortgage, and computer network security industries.
